With most beer tending paler and paler (and hazier), I thought it would be nice to bring back that classic amber-orange colour that used to be all the rage. We’ve used NZ made Gladfield Redback malt to achieve this. It’s a specially treated malted barley that adds some lovely toasty maillard flavours along with some glorious colour. Oh, and yeah, there’s plenty o’ hops - hopped like a classic old school West Coast IPA with lashings of Citra and Mosaic, backed with a heft charge of Columbus for some bracing bitterness - like beer used to be!
