Built as a collaboration with Scott from Lallemand Yeast, our original goal was to produce a Belgian Abbey Single using the Lallemand Farmhouse yeast strain. Built on a base of German Pilsner and Abbey malts, as well as Herkules and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh hops, it's designed to be a quaffer. We definitely hit that target! The yeast however, really does lean into it's funky and farmhouse nature and refused to be tamed! The end result is almost wheat-beer like with banana notes heavy, as well as a subtle pepper and clove mix in the background. The malt really sings, and this is truly a beer for warm weather drinking. Or, you know, whenever you want some!
